A very limited amount of feedback that we have received seems to indicate that we made an error in our calculation of the course distance and in fact, it may have been a mile short. If so, our sincere apologies!!!! For the time being, we are listing it as an 8.3M trail run. However, if you have a GPS reading of the course, we would REALLY appreciate it if you would send your recorded distance to us at rhornpcs@aol.com. We have an inherent mistrust of GPS readings ESPECIALLY for trail runs. But if there seems to be a “norm” in the responses that we get, we will modify the distance that is listed for the event. And we will measure EVERY STEP of the course with our surveyors wheel before next year’s event.

07/04/23 Ephrata, PA – Ephrata Firecracker 5 Mile Run REVISED An error was made in the importing of the raceday entries which was not caught before the 1st set of results was published. An entry by entry comparison of the 150 walk up entries was made against the database supplied by the event and quite a few corrections were made. Based on that comparison, we believe these results are 99% correct, at least, and can now be used to distribute the awards. There were some duplicate bibs on that list that were assigned to 2 people. But we believe that we resolved each of them. Also, there were 5 people that had a starting time but no finish time; at least one of those people threw thier chip away when the discarded their shirt during mid race. If you ran the race and are not in these results, or if there is still a mistake in these results, please email you Bib, Name, Sex, Age and Finish Time to RHORNPCS@AOL.COM and we will get you in the results. Our sincere apologies for this error.
